Shipyard/Titanic
General Trip Itinerary ~ 4-5 hours
Meet at Our Shop
Our tour typically starts at 10 am from our shop in Tumbler Ridge so that we can get forms signed, and go over our checklist to make sure everyone has the gear they need. We will then drive out to the roadhead (approx. 15 - 20 min drive)
UTV Journey
Once arriving at the roadhead, we will unload our UTV with tracks (it can fit up to 4 passengers at a time), and take you up the unplowed road 4 km to the beginning of the Shipyard/Titanic trail. This cuts off 4 km of what would otherwise be a very gruelling snowshoe up a large hill.
The Snowshoe
From here, we set out on our 4 km snowshoe. We will take you up through the Armada Valley, which is only possible in winter when the snow fills the garden of boulders underneath. If we are lucky we might spot some mountain goats. Then we will head up to Titanic Rock where you can walk right to the tip of the prow. From there we can head to the base of Titanic, and enjoy some much-deserved hot chocolate before heading up the Bismark Rock on the way back. Another good chance to see mountain goats.
Return to Town
We will head back down from the trailhead to the trucks with the UTV, and once we are loaded up, we will head back into town.
The Armada Valley
Pricing
Our snowshoe w/ UTV tours start at $150 per person. See additional add-ons below.

Babcock Falls
Not far from where we unload the UTV, is the Babcock Falls Trail. Its a quick 2 km snowshoe, and the falls themselves feature some gorgeous frozen seeps that you can walk right up to and under.
This add-on costs $50 per person
Boulder Gardens
An alternate to Shipyard/Titanic is the Boulder Gardens trail which is on the same unplowed road, about half the way up. Another good opportunity to spot mountain goats, this 4 km snowshoe features more interesting rock formations and amazing views. It can be done by itself for $150 per person, or as a combo with Backcock Falls for $200 per person.
