Quest & Quillan Falls

General Trip Itinerary ~ 4-5 hours

Meet at Our Shop

Our tour typically starts at 10 am from our shop in Tumbler Ridge so that we can get forms signed, and go over our checklist to make sure everyone has the gear they need. We will then drive out to the trailhead (approx. 15 minute drive)

UTV Journey

Once arriving at the trailhead, we will unload our UTV with tracks (it can fit up to 4 passengers at a time), and take you up the first 5 km through the cut-block until we reach the forest. (In the summer, this is available as a jeep tour)

Quest Falls

From here, we follow the cut-block on snowshoes until we drop down the hill and into the forested cliff area near the river. Our first destination is Quest Falls. We pass by two river viewpoints in this section before reaching the Quest Falls Valley. It's an impressive valley with high cliffs and a waterfall that digs into the stone in an interesting curved pattern. Mountain goats love to hang out here so we tend to walk in quietly so that we can catch a glance.

Quillan Falls

Once we are done viewing Quest Falls, we will go back the way we came, but rather than going back up to the cut-block, we will push forward towards Quillan Falls. This section includes a fairly steep hill but plateaus out at the bottom to where we keep our picnic table and fire pit. Here you can view Quillan Falls and the Murray River, potentially see more mountain goats, and enjoy a much-needed rest. We pack hot chocolate on all our winter tours, and this is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Return to Town

We will head back to the UTV and then take it back to the trucks. This completes the 3 km snowshoeing loop. Once we are loaded up, we will head back into town.
