FAQs

Look here for answers to our most asked questions. If you can't find what you need here, feel free to fill in our form below! We will get back to you as soon as possible.

What is your deposit policy?

To save the date, we require a deposit of half down (before GST). This deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the departure date. If you want to save the date within 2 weeks of your tour/rental date, a full nonrefundable deposit is required. If for any reason the tour/rental is cancelled by us, you will get a full refund.

Will we still go if it's raining?

Typically, we go rain or shine. On our boat tours, the boat does include a raintop that will be on during rainy tours. If the weather is bad enough that it becomes a safety issue, we will let you know in advance and give you a full refund on your deposit.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

For river-boat tours and jeep tours, if you specify beforehand we can substitute the beef tenderloin with pork or chicken. Beyond that, you would need to bring your own lunch ingredients, and we can cook it for you.

On our overnight Monkman Park tours, if you let us know beforehand during the booking process, we will do our best to make sure that you can eat everything on our menu.

Will my tour be private?

Each tour is different. In the case of boat tours, if your group is less than 8 people, we cannot guarantee a private tour. If you wish to have a private tour, please contact Randy for more info.

What are your certifications?

Wild River Adventure Tours is commercially registered and insured, and we are the only commercial boat operators approved to operate in Monkman Provincial Park. For more on our certificates, click here.

What should I bring?

We created a post on our blog just for this question!

A general guide for boat tours though, is to dress in layers as it can get cold on the boat and in the mountains, weather can change quickly. For that reason, a raincoat never hurts to have packed. We highly recommend as well that guests avoid wearing flip-flops. Sandals that have straps, running shoes, etc. are recommended.

If I'm out of shape, can I still come on a hike?

One thing we like to promote with our hiking and snowshoe tours is "hiking for every BODY" as Roxanne likes to say. Whether you are out of shape or not, young or old, we encourage everyone who can, to join us on our hiking and snowshoe tours. We only ever go as fast as the slowest member of our group and we are more than willing to integrate stops into every tour.
